Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to questions from our customers.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to know more or ask your own question.

Do you make home visits?

Yes we do! We feel this is the best way to make choices. You can see samples and examples against your windows and complement your colour schemes and decor.

Are your blinds guaranteed?

We guarantee our blinds for up to three years. Motors and other components up to five years. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more details.

Do you install the blinds?

Once your blinds are ready, one of your installers will be in touch to make a fitting appointment. Then they fit your blinds accordingly.

Are you expensive?

Fully fitted blinds will always cost more than DIY products. However, like-for-like comparisons indicate that our pricing is very reasonable and lower than the large well-known blinds companies offering a fitted service. We keep our overheads as low as possible so we can pass those significant savings on.

What are your lead times?

Most blinds are ready within three weeks. Lead times can get longer during busy times. Or they can be less. As soon as they are available we will be in touch.

Do you have sales offers?

Our pricing is so reasonable we don't usually have sales. We believe in transparent pricing with no hard-sell tactics like increasing the price only to offer 'discounts' on the day. Our manufacturers sometimes have deals and we pass these onto our customers. Our marketing team may advertise offers from time to time. Sign up for our newsletter (we send it out only a few times a year so you aren't bombarded) to be notified of these. And we offer a like-for-like price match for peace of mind.

Have you got a showroom?

While the office is located in Harrogate, we don't have a showroom. We come to your home or business, offering fully personalised service and tailor-made products. By not having the overheads of a showroom we are able to pass these savings on to you our customer. However, we do have some blinds on display at

Yorkshire Radiators, Hammerain House, Hookstone Avenue, Harrogate, HG2 8ER, where you will receive a warm welcome.

Can I order made-to-measure blinds?

You can order made-to-measure blinds from us in Harrogate and surrounds. We come out and check the measurements as part of our service to you.

What type of blinds do you offer in North Yorkshire?

We offer a wide variety of different blinds, curtains and shutters. Blind types in Yorkshire include roller blinds, pleated blinds, vertical blinds, wooden blinds, Venetian blinds, Vision Blinds, Allusion blinds, skylight or roof light blinds, bifold door blinds, patio doors blinds, conservatory blinds and more.

What are the benefits of made-to-measure blinds?

We offer made-to-measure blinds in Harrogate and parts of North Yorkshire. Bespoke or tailor-made blinds are made to fit your windows and doors. Providing the correct size and type of blind is more complex than many people think. The blind has to work in the space. Suitability is assessed on our free home visit. Then correct measurements have to be taken. Blinds should fit within the space comfortably, gaps should not be too big but also not too small as this can negatively effect operation. Installing blinds safely requires knowledge and tools.

Can I order Venetian blinds in Harrogate?

You can order Venetian blinds in Harrogate and surrounds from Harrogate Blinds. We offer free quotes and visits so you can choose in the comfort of your own home or office. Venetian blinds are offered in three different materials. Wood Venetian blinds. Fauxwood Venetian blinds. Metal Venetian blinds. Bamboo Venetian blinds are classified as wooden Venetian blinds. The slats come in different sizes. Suitable for home and office use.

Where can I find energy-efficient blinds in Harrogate?

Harrogate Blinds supplies and installs thermally efficient blinds. There are a few different types to choose from. The most efficient are usually cellular pleated blinds. They work by trapping air in the cells between the window or door and the room. Blackout roller blinds can help to keep the heat in rooms. Proper shutters can do the same.
